How to grow homes :) !!!

Why grow homes? Because we can…

It’s a technology that has been around for over 2,500 years. It’s called pleaching, or grafting trees together.

Organic and sustainable Architecture. Eco-friendly and futuristic design. What an inspiring video. Thank you Mitchell.

Do stats from Analytics like bounce rate and time on site count in ranking a page?

Here’s a short video about an interesting question:

Do stats from Google Analytics (i.e.: bounce rate,  time on site etc) count in ranking a page?

In short Matt’s answer is: NO however I suspect that key data like “Time on site” is a factor. It must be.

Think about this:
would you send traffic to a site that does not manage to keep his visitors for more than a few seconds? Probably not…

that’s great to hear Matt but we, the end user, are going to have to take your word for it. There’s no way for us to know if that is true.

Updates to Google Search Interface

A few days ago Google’s folks quietly (as they usually do) updated their search interface.

Many nicknamed this interface the Jazz interface. Although Google engineers really what they do, there are tons of bad reviews.
In a nutshell this is what’s new:

  • There is an added a left panel with quick access to relevant options and tools
  • Lots of other tweaks and a visual refresh (of somewhat dubious taste IMHO)
  • There is now a three-pane UI:
    Search options column
    Search results column
    Search ADS column

The part I like most is the “Try something different” in the options column (far left) where the tool will suggest other queries that are related to your original one.

Take a quick look at the video below and you’ll see what I mean…comments are welcome
