Is changing webhost a problem from an SEO perspective?

He’s a nice short video from Matt Cutt’s about moving sites to a different webhost.

In short, if you are changing your IP address make sure that:

  1. Set your DNS TTL (Time to Live) very low (around 5 mins)
  2. Switch the DNS to point from old to new
  3. If you set your DDL then live both sites live for at least 24 hrs
