Here’s the first video from Matt’s new webmaster series. It’s about PageRank, Twitter and Facebook. Interesting but…hardly new.<\/p>\n

Here’s a brief summary if the video:<\/p>\n

  1. Links from reputable websites are always best.<\/li>\n
  2. Re Facebook: only links that can be fetched MAY pass pagerank<\/li>\n
  3. Links from Twitter are NoFollow so no worry there…it will not help with PR<\/li>\n
  4. All links are treated equally, whether they are coming from a wordpress blog or an .edu domain (I have my reservations here as there is evidence of the contrary).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
