33% reported integrating social media and email marketing has increased their subscriber base.
30% reported after integrating social media and email marketing they saw an increase in friends/fans/followers.
Watching this video may make you feel that’s the end of the very first and still most used internet application.
According to the Nielsen Company their research indicate the exact opposite (check it out here).
The specifics:
It actually appears that social media use makes people consume email more, not less, as we had originally assumed – particularly for the highest social media users.
But most especially there is so much more you can do with searching, categorizing and organizing messages that can be done with an email application that cannot be done with social media tools.
