Hosted Web Forms, how to grow your list

Pubblicato daadmin 27 gennaio 2010

If you are using an email marketing management hosted service like aweber then you can create forms and publish them on your website but, if you didn’t want to fiddle around with HTML, then you could use the new feature that will let you publish a form published to its own page.

Pretty handy, see it in action in the short video (less than 1 minute) below:

This means you can link to your signup form rather than having to embed it directly on a page of your website.

Why Would You Use a Hosted Web Form?

  1. email: You can use email to build your own list. The best way to do it is by encouraging your subscribers to forward your message to their friends. With the hosted form feature you can send subscribers directly to a page that contains your form, no other distractions.
  2. twitter: with only 140 characters you need to be creative. But with the immense power of reaching almost everyone with twitter you can use the hosted form feature to send visitors to a form-only page. Very, very powerful. Do not forget to shorten your URL’s I use bit.ly so that I can track clicks 🙂
  3. wordpress: If you have a wordpress blog and you know how to play with widgets you can certainly publish you form on the blog itself or you can link to your form-only page.
