Diwali in Vancouver – awesome

Last week (Sunday) I took my family to the RoundHouse Community Centre to see the live performances and enjoy some great Indian food.

It was awesome 🙂

Vancouver Celebrates Diwali (VCD) is a South Asian arts & culture festival intended for all cultures and communities. Diwali means row of lighted lamps, and its worldwide festivals are a unifying celebration of light over darkness that symbolize the triumph of good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.

Vancouver Celebrates Diwali is a community-based event dedicated to bringing together people of all backgrounds, celebrating the universal light that exists in everyone.

VCD is the largest Diwali-themed event in the Lower Mainland, and continues to grow and expand each year as its popularity branches out throughout Vancouver.

Happy Diwali everyone 🙂

LinkedIn for SEO

You can use LinkedIn to get 3 great links pointing to your site (with keywords in the anchor text).

In your profile they give you the opportunity to add three hyperlinks to websites of your choice.

If you’re not trying to optimise your site for “My Website”, “My Portfolio” and “My Blog” it might be an idea to select “Other” and choose your own anchor text instead!

Hope you liked it. I didn’t create the video but I have found it very useful.

Bordighera view from the hills – the Italian riviera at its best

And this is what I used to call home…the Italian Riviera.

Bordighera is a town and comune the in the Province of Imperia, Liguria (Italy).

The city was founded around the 4th century BC by the Ligures.

Historically, it has been a favorite winter resort, especially for visitors and retirees from England, and is renowned for its beautiful coast scenery.

Its flowers and palms have been well known, with the flowers having been exported and the palms used on Palm Sunday at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and other churches.

A museum contains a unique collection of the flora of the Riviera.

From 1682 until the Napoleonic period, Bordighera was the capital of a small republic of the villages of the neighboring valleys.

Here is the official website:
