On this planet there are 1.6 billion of people that do not have access to electricity refrigeration or stored fuels.

The Solution:
An inexpensive refrigeration that doesn’t use electricity, propane or gas. The intermittent absorption refrigerator.

This solution, invented in 1928, could be used for the storage of vaccines as well.  It’s low pressure and non-toxic. it could impact the file of a huge number of people. I really hope this goes into production.

Adwords, my client center – search across accounts, labels, and simplified dashboard buttons

Some new features:

  1. search across accounts – quite handy if you run a medium size web agency. Easier to search your client center and find what you need quickly
  2. easier to use dashboard buttons – I am not completely convinced this is more useful. I’ll let you decide if that works better for you
  3. labels – organize accounts into groups and flag an account (or more) that requires immediate attention. This one is quite handy.

Watch the short video and you’ll know what I mean 🙂

Do not announce your goals or you will never be able to achieve them

Derek Sivers says it’s better to keep our goals secrets and it brings research that dates back to the ’20 to prove his theory.

In summary:

  1. Resist the temptation of announcing your goals
  2. Delay the gratification that social acknowledge brings
  3. Understand that your mind mistaked “the talking” with “the doing”
  4. If you have to talk about something say in a way that it would not give you satisfaction

Easier said than done but… doable 🙂

Short Video on how to use Realtime Search

Pretty cool 🙂

Get realtime news from popular social media networks (twitter, facebook, buzz, etc) presented in a constantly reshing screen.

Easy to search for a topic and cut through the noise of social media conversations. You can also refine your search to see what people are saying in a specific town, state or country. That’s handy !

From left side click on “updates” or go directly to google.com/realtime and start searching.

You can also get realtime updates with google alerts. Careful that can be a lot of reading…

it has been a few days and this video has only got 62,000 views…mmmm…google doesn’t seem the darling of the techies anymore.

Times are changing.
