  • people really see the way you are – a lot easier than reading a resume

Here’s a short step-by-step video:

Step by step:

  1. Login into linkedin
  2. Go to your profile -> edit profile
  3. Scroll down to “Applications” -> click on “add an application”
  4. Select “Google Presentation.” Install the application
  5. Click the link “Go to application”
  6. Either select “Create a presentation”, or select an existing presentation made in your Google Docs account
  7. If you select “Create a Presentation,” you will be taken to the Google docs site and a blank, untitled presentation will appear. Click “Insert”, and select “Video.”
  8. Add video from list
  9. Click the “Share” button at the top and select “Publish/Embed”
  10. Save

How to rank high for local search

Quick 3 minutes video on how the ranking of local listings work when users/visitors search on Google and Google Maps.

3 things are super important:

  1. distance,
  2. relevance
  3. prominence

Make sure you have the correct company  information like address and phone number and add rich details like photos or hours of operations.

TAGS
Google tags is a flat fee program to help local businesses stand out with a yellow marker that highlights key content but NO impact on search rankings !

BOOST
Boost is an AD that can appear besides the search results improving the chances of being found for your main keywords (products/services).

HOTPOT
Google just introduced a new recommendation engine called Hotpot. It’s based on ratings from the community and it can positively (or negatively) affect the rankings of local businesses.

You must be signed into your Google account and have HotPot enables to see it working.
